The Philadelphia Works Podcast: Connecting Employers to a skilled workforce!

We are proud to present the brand new Philadelphia Works podcast, the only podcast that showcases real local employers, speaking about their hiring challenges and opportunities.  This monthly series allows listeners to hear directly from Philadelphia-area business leaders as they share insights and personal stories related to connecting with and hiring new talent for their business.

The fourth episode features an interview with Farrah Parkes, Director of Education, Technology, and Job Readiness at Lutheran Settlement House, a multifaceted, nonprofit organization in Fishtown that provides a variety of services for underserved communities. Farrah shares insights into Lutheran Settlement House’s customer service training program and how the organization has partnered with Philadelphia Works to host Career Wardrobes. She also details the employment challenges many jobseekers face, and the services that help overcome them.
