Request for Qualifications Vocational Skill Training. Proposals that culminate in the basic certifications will be considered non-responsive and will not be reviewed. Examples are: ServSafe®, OSHA, MOS, Customer Service/Retail related credentials. We have reached the limit on introducing certain credentials into our labor market. Philadelphia Works will not consider new proposals offering the following credentials: Certified Nurse Assistant/Aid (CNA), Child Development Associate, Commercial Driver’s License (A&B). Philadelphia Works re-releases this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to entities interested in providing new and innovative vocational skills training services to a targeted population of program participants served through the public workforce system. Request for Proposals: WorkReady Pre-Apprenticeship Pilot. Released August 21, 2017 and is also available at www.pyninc.org. To implement pre-apprenticeship programs that strengthen access to registered apprenticeships for low-income and under-served youth, the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) with the support of Philadelphia Works, Inc. (PWI) is seeking proposals from organizations dedicated to encouraging the growth of career pathway opportunities for disconnected young people. Pre-apprenticeships that target high-growth, high-vacancy, or emerging regional industries are highly encouraged. Proposals are due October 16, 2017 by 12:00pm.
