Defense Industry Initiative

SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA DEFENSE TRANSITION INITIATIVE 

This initiative helps businesses diversify their revenue beyond Department of Defense (DoD) sources. Participating companies can receive a business assessment and subsidized consulting services to grow the business or retrain workers affected by reductions in defense contracts. Assistance is available to businesses in the 8 Counties – Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia – that have been impacted by Department of Defense budget cuts.

Resources from Employer Event “Trends in Defense Procurement” — July 8, 2016

More than 70 employers joined the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), Philadelphia Works and our regional partners to learn about Defense procurement trends and more.  The event included a resource fair to support employers who have been affected by reductions in Defense spending, and want to diversify their business and/or build capacity.
